Superbowl Showdown

Okay people here we have it. The Superbowl is determined. Predict the winner and the score.

This is the ultimate show down. Peyton Manning and the Colts will face Brian Urlacher and the Bears.
Let's break it down.
Facts:
- Colts can come from behind and win the big game.
- Bears run the ball down people's throats and the Colts run Def isn't that good. (Thomas Jones 132 yds and 2 TD's vs the Saints. Benson 60 yds and 1 TD)
- Peyton Manning has still a lot to prove (and maybe destiny on his side?)
- Chicago has the better defense.
- Indy has the better offense.
- Grossman has proven he can handle the big game.
- The Colts Def has played awesome in the playoffs.
- Best Def vs the Best Off.
- The AFC is definitely better this season than the NFC.
- The Superbowl isn't being played in the snow.
- Bears Def can score pts (see week 6 Monday Nighter vs Arizona)
- Harrison and Wayne are awesome but they end throw TD's to TE's and Lineman?
- Bears just win. Not always pretty but one more W and they are the champs.
- Lovie vs Dungy.

Gotta agree here Trev, Indy best offence, Bears best defence. Bit of a tough call on this one. Weather won't have any effect. Grossman...??? hmmm can he pull it off, Manning is hungry now that he has that trophy in site as long as he plays like he did in the second half of yesterdays game, (cough!)Against a strong defence he has to play the grind game and not try to get fancy and play a running game, won't work here. Slug it out down by down. So then, Colts will win, low scoring game Colts 21 vs Bears 13 Rick

Who are you picking because after the last few weeks... I'll pick the other guy.

BUT, Peyton's gonna do it. Grossman will choke.

Colts 34 Bears 14

Gotta agree with Paul, though nice to see either team win. Colts for Payton and the Bears cuz I remember the Ditka days (and the amazing Saturday Night Live Skit). Indy by 5 is my gut feeling, yet if it goes to an all out throwing game bears will lose worse.

I hope I get to see much of the game as I do have to work :S Paul's score is right if it goes to the throwing game otherwise it'll be a kickers dual 23-18.

Bears 24 Colts 21.

The Justice system is allowing the Bears to have their players in the game. That has to count for something...at least that is what I heard. I have to agree with ozmang on the Saturday night live skit. I think I saw it, but even if I didn't everyone seems to know about it. Da Bears.

Not sure I agree with "Grossman has proven he can handle the big game". He's proven that he can be...... well, not quite horrible enough to lose one big game for the Bears. That's not nearly good enough against the Colts.

The only hope the Bears have is if the Colts play soft, which isn't completely out of the question. But they're winning without Peyton Manning playing well, which is definitely a change for this team. And he's been getting better with each game this playoff year.

Colts 31, Bears 10
- Manning gets MVP
- Grossman goes 8-22, no TDs, 3 picks
- Devin Hester returns a kick for the Bears only TD

I think the Colts will win. Vinateri will kick the winning field goal.
Score will be 24-21 Colts.

Well, I must say that it has been a long time coming, Peyton and boys finally made it here, Welcome to big dance (lets not see if Manning can do an impression of Dan Marino and become another great QB to never win a SuperBowl)
Colts are playing great, great offence which should include some points being put up on the board, however they may only be from the foot of Vinateri(just look at their game against Baltimore, another great defensive team but not really any O)
Bears are playing great as well, however Grossman is sketchy at best, if he comes in all jittery then the pressure is on the D (which it probably is anyways)
Enough said,
Dr. Z's pick for the SuperBowl is..
Colts 28 Bears 21

Bears got this one boys...23-18. The Bears score 14 pts off D and kick field goals to win.

I haven't made my prediction just some facts until now!

Colts blow out the Bears. Defense wins championships is true but the exception to the rule is Sunday.

Colts 34 - Bears 10.
